R.I.P. Misty
The sweetest dog I've ever known
I lost my Misty girl last night after a 3 month–long battle against cancer.
I was the fifth person whose life she touched.
Misty was found in the desert outside El Paso eight years ago today by my wife Teresa.
Her brother Eugene, named the poor stray Misty, and cared for her until he died in 2022.
She then was in the care of my sister for a year before I got her.
She was the nicest, kindest, most polite dog I’ve ever known. She would stand outside a door and wait to be invited into the room.
I loved her so much. I will miss her dearly.
She now joins my other loves…
Sheila 1999-2012 and Dodger 1999-2014, sister and brother.
Sam 2014-2023, Boonie 2014-2016, and their mom, Paisley 2012-2022.
Bob

They always take a piece of our heart with them when they go.
We know this pain several times over - Robbie, our last dog, was a 4-time cancer survivor who simply died of old age, but it's never "time." We remember him through contributions to the Flint Animal Cancer Center at CO State University,, which is making strides in cancer research benefiting both our pets and us. The Center gave him extra life.
