I lived through those times and remember them well. The busing, the marching, the beatings the killing.

Martin, Bobby and John.

Thank you for posting those beautiful words . Two incredible human beings . America had such great people - and although right now everything seems incredibly dark , it will end and the light will

Shine through again . We have to believe this .

Thank you for this piece. I was a young kid then, and I've never read most of those speech excerpts. It was very valuable to read them, ponder, and prepare to steel ourselves to stand up, arm in arm, and peacefully counter the evil we face today.

Drat, I should have added links. I’ll update it.

Just the excerpts were enough. Today has been a little overwhelming... Cliff Note version was nice.

Bob’s Post above 🔝 Needs to be SHARED EVERYWHERE! We must remember what happened, how we were all robbed, of our best leaders.. We must stop this from happening now, and in the future, for all our sakes.

If they weren't killed... what a wonderful world it would be.

I wanted to honor MLK and remember the day and their common causes.

Thank - You Bob, for RFK’s speech, on that terrible day, the most meaningful, and most needed speech, straight from his true heart. America was robbed twice, of outstanding leaders, by the most EVIL people! We will never forget, or forgive, what they stole from US, and the world. The TRUTH is finally being exposed. Thank YOU! Bobby K.

Bobby very rarely (and never by name), talked about Jack's assassination. He didn't want to use his brother like that.

People forget how close their deaths were. And then there was Chicago...

You are a historian!

Hi Bob!

Just checking in on you.

I was wondering how you are feeling today re: your late sister.

I am sending wavelengths of solace your way.

Thank you. I am doing well. I have a lot of taxes to file; mine, dad’s estate, and Irene’s. One step at a time…

The Kennedys were such an inspiration.

In 1960, JFK came to my podunk town in Northeastern PA. I was only 9 years old, but I went anyway to hear him speak. I doubt I understood much but I certainly was dazzled by his charm. I remember 22 November 1963. I remember I was in home ec class. We were all sent home from school when the news broke. My family, as I'm sure most families, were tranfixed by the continuing coverage of the tragic event. Who could forget the 3 year old John John saluting his father's casket?

I understand that RFK was very close to his brother. He was his brother's closest advisor and a confidant. He championed efforts to improve the life of the disenfranchised as AG and as a senator from NY. I believe he would have made a great president, perhaps one even better than his brother.

Sorry for talking more about JFK🙄

Thank you, Bob for this piece! BTW, I downloaded an audio version of "Bobby Kennedy - A Raging Spirit".
